Grubbs, George W. (George Washington), 1841-1924.
Grubbs was born in Martinsville, Ind. He served with the 70th Indiana Volunteers during the Civil War and returned to Martinsville after the war. He became a lawyer in 1868. In 1878 he was elected to the Indiana State Legislature, followed by two terms in the State Senate. He took the post of circuit court judge in 1888 and kept the position until he retired to private legal practice. He died in Martinsville in 1924.
