Wood, Burton Roy.
Herbert Ross Wood (Ross) moved to California with his family in 1919. His brother, Burton Roy Wood (Roy), stayed behind on the family farm in New Providence, Iowa. Ross inherited some Iowa farm property as the main beneficiary of the estate of Elgar Butler. Roy served as the administrator of his brother's affairs in Iowa until the property was transferred to Whittier College in exchange for educational opportunities for Ross's children.
