Day, John (John G.), 1941-
John Day, a native of High Point, North Carolina, joined the Army at age 15 and retired at age 35. During his Army service, he served in Europe, Asia, Canada, and South America. Following his retirement from the military, he joined the Columbus Police Department, where he served for over 24 years. He served as the quartermaster officer for over 12 years.
