Biographical Information

Born in 1922, William Carney served in the United States Air Force as a gunner in World War II. After the war he attended the Missouri School of Journalism and obtained his masters in French from the University of California, Berkeley. Carney later taught French in the University of California system, and in the 1970's he restored Victorian and Edwardian homes in San Francisco. He published three works of Gay erotic literature in his lifetime, The Real Thing, A Year in the Closet, and The Rose Exterminator . Carney passed away in 1987, at the age of 64.
