Stanley B. Winters was Co-founder and President of Clinton Hill (Newark, N.J.) Neighborhood Council, "an organization composed of a cross-section of residents in the Clinton Hill area, whose aim is to build a community spirit of cooperation and good will," from 1955 to 1961, and is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of History at New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he served for 35 years along with positions at New York University and Rutgers Unfversity.
