Given the opportunity to travel the United States of America in 1912, twelve-year-old Lois Stone Allen took it and produced a work of her experiences and memories. Allen lived with her grandparents, Helen A. Stone and Truman L. Stone in Boston. Truman Stone was a member of the Ismailia Temple of Buffalo, the Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, and in their company Lois and her grandfather were able to travel to California.
