Pharmacologist, 1906-1987. Burch joined the faculty of the Washington University School of Medicine as a research associate in Pharmacology in 1953. She became a full professor in 1974 and retired as professor emeritus and lecturer in Pharmacology in 1975. Burch was known for her studies of the metabolic differences among the various parts of the kidney.
