Jesse Tolbert Mallet was born in Johnstown, Texas to Agnes Obera and Charles Jesse Mallet on August 17, 1922. He entered the United States Army on November 28, 1940 and was discharged on May 20, 1945. While in the Army he received a shrapnel wound in the leg. Jesse married Mary LaDorna Boerner in the mid-1940s and the couple resided in Austin, Texas throughout their marriage. LaDorna was born February 16, 1919 in Sentinel Butte, North Dakota to parents Edwin and Julia Boerner. The couple had four children: Charles Edwin, Robert Michael, Patrick Lee and Michelle Ann. Jesse was self-employed as a watchmaker and LaDorna worked as a legal secretary for various Austin law firms.
Jesse died in March of 1992 and LaDorna died on Saturday, October 10, 2009.
