Born in Hillsborough, N.H. in 1784, Comm. Capt. 11th Infantry March 12, 1813. Brev. Lt. Col. for victory at battle of Chippewa, July 5, 1814. Brev. Big. Gen. and was Made Col. of 1st Inf.
