Puritan Mining Company.
A firm of promoters, Jackson & Collins, started the Puritan Mining Company, which operated in Bessemer, Mich., from 1887 to 1888. They quickly went bankrupt. Marcus Alonzo Hanna (1837-1904) bought the Puritan Mine at auction and changed its name to the Ruby Iron Mining Company.
