Jenckes Family.
Four brothers, Jerathmel B., John, Daniel, and Joseph S. Jenckes, probably from Rhode Island, were early settlers of Vigo County, Ind. They dealt in land and ran a distillery. Jerathmel served as Justice of the Peace in Lost Creek Township from 1832 to at least 1841.
