Meckstroth, Bertha Amelia.
Bertha Meckstroth graduated from Radcliffe College in 1906, was trained as a nurse in Seattle, Washington, was a teacher in Buffalo, New York, and studied at Chicago Art Institute. She participated in amateur theater, was interested in quilting and needlecrafts, and displayed her quilts in an exhibit entitled "The Singing Needle" at the Century of Progress International Exposition in Chicago, Illinois, 1933-1934.
