Harish-Chandra, 1923-1983.
Harish-Chandra was a mathematician and professor at the Institute of Advanced Studies, Princeton. He was awarded the Srinivasa Ramanujan Medal in 1974 and is known for his contributions to character theory of semisimple Lie groups.
