Oregon Trunk Railway
The company was incorporated in 1909 to take over two existing, partially completed railroads: the Central Oregon Railroad Company and the Oregon Trunk Line, Inc. It completed those lines and built additional trackage aggregating 157 miles and linking the cities of Fallbridge (Wash.), Metolius (Ore.), Opal City (Ore.), and Bend (Ore.). GN sold (1910) a half interest in the company to the Northern Pacific Railway and it was thereafter managed by their joint subsidiary, the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway.
