Jaquelin S. Holliday was president of W.J. Holliday and Company, a wholesale iron and steel firm in Indianapolis, Ind. His wife, Florence Baker Holliday, was the daughter of Conrad Baker and had wide cultural and philanthropic interests. Both were lifelong friends of writer and diplomat Meredith Nicholson.
