The Organizer's Official Bulletin began in 1937 as a report on the organizational efforts of the United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers of America (UE) and a means of informing the union's organizers of issues concerning the union. In 1949, the report was renamed the UE Organizer's Bulletin. These bulletins include a combination of articles, leaflets, editorials, and letters that dealt with information regarding the UE. This information included articles on such topics as McCarthyism and UE plant closings. The reports were created to inform UE organizers of current events and conditions affecting the workplace as they set out to coordinate the organizing and stability of locals.
