Caison, Hardin, ca. 1837-fl. 1880.
Caison (Casey in the census) served in the 7th U.S. Colored Heavy Artillery until discharged May 28, 1865 because of wounds. Official records only list him as serving in the 11th U.S. Colored Infantry (New). After the war Caison was a laborer in Mound City, Illinois where he lived with his wife and children.
