Gravink, Deleo.

Hide Profile

The heavyweight crew of the Class of 1957 was one of the most distinguished crew teams of the 20th century. For all four years, Phil Gravink served as the stroke of that crew. During that time, he won over 110 shirts from his opposite numbers in the crews the Cornell team defeated in the U.S. and Europe. In the 1980s, his sister, Deleo Gravink created a quilt from some of the shirts her brother had won. A full-size image of the quilt will hang in the Cornell boathouse.
