Massachusetts Congressman.

Boland was born in Springfield, Mass. He attended Boston College Law School and from 1935 to 1941 served in the Massachusetts State Legislature. From 1952 to 1988 he was a member of the United States House of Representatives. Boland served on a number of Committees while in Congress and authored the "Boland Ammendments," which limited American government aid to the Nicaraguan Contra Rebels.
