American association of immunologists
Variant namesThe American Association of Immunologists was chartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 19, 1913. In February of 1916 it began publishing the Journal of Immunology in Baltimore, Maryland and on April 6, 1917 a constitution and bylaws was adopted. The annual business meeting, which originally coincided with the meetings of the American Association of Pathologists and Bacteriologists, has been held in conjunction with the meetings of the Federation of American Societies of Experimental Biologists since 1939. A permanent headquarters was established at FASEB in Bethesda, Maryland in 1965.
