Wise, Erbon W., 1920-
Variant namesErbon W. Wise was born in Claiborne Parish, La., in 1920 and graduated from Louisiana State Normal College in Natchitoches, La., in 1941. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, was adjutant general of Louisiana between 1964 and 1968, and ultimately rose to the rank of major general. He published several small newspapers in Southwest Louisiana and wrote books on that area's history and genealogy.
