Cockrum, William Monroe, 1837-1924
Variant namesWilliam Cockrum was a soldier in the 42nd Indiana Regiment. He was taken prisoner and sent to Libby Prison in Richmond, Virginia where he remained for eight months. After the war, Cockrum returned home to Gibson County, Indiana where he resumed farming.
