First Lutheran Church (Wolf Point, Mont.)

Hide Profile

Roots of this congregation go back to 1914 when Rev. Alfred Hendrickson began services in Wolf Point on a monthly basis. In 1917 a Lutheran congregation was started with Hendrickson as the first pastor, and in 1919 the congregation was formally organized and ground was broken for a church. The basement was completed in 1921 and the church in 1927.

With three sessions of Sunday School and two church services each Sunday, new space was needed. A Christian education center was completed in 1957 and a new sanctuary in 1976.
