Williams family members include David Williams (d. 1828), a Virginia native who moved his family to Greene County, Illinois in 1821; his first wife Sarah McKinsey Williams; his second wife Margaret Stout Williams (1803-1891); her brother in Texas, William B. Stout (ca. 1805-fl. 1861); her nephew William C. Starkey (fl. 1856); David and Margaret's grandson George C. Williams (1861-1904); his wife Laura E. Wright Williams (1867-1910); and their son John Foster Williams (1890-1967).
