Meetch, J. B. (Joseph B.)

Joseph B. Meetch emigrated from Halifax, Pennsylvania to Pittsburgh, down the Ohio and Mississippi to New Orleans, and travelling from there to Illinois by foot. In February 1822, he set out for Texas, but stopped in Missouri, where he stayed at least two years.
