Koerner, Mary Felicite Kinney, 1847-1946.
Koerner was related to numerous Illinois notables including William C. Kinney, adjutant-general (father); U.S. Senator Elias Kent Kane and Lieutenant Governor William Kinney (grandfathers); Governor William H. Bissell (uncle); and Lieutenant Governor Gustavas Koerner (father-in-law). Raised in Belleville and Springfield, Mary knew Abraham Lincoln. She married Gustav Adolphus Koerner in 1868 and they had eight children.
