Variant namesThe original 130 episodes of Fantasy island were televised Jan. 1978-Aug. 1984; the program centered around a tropical resort where guests could live out their wildest dreams; the program featured Ricardo Montalban as Mr. Roarke, the proprietor of Fantasy Island, and Herve Villechaize (1978-83) as his assistant, Tattoo; produced by Arthur Rowe, the executive producers were Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg.
