Sprague, Noah P., 1798-1879.

Born in Haverhill, N.H.; son of Alden Sprague. He married Abiah Carleton at Bath, N.H. in 1821. They moved to Buffalo in 1825. He engaged in mercantile activities, was elected Erie County clerk in 1831 on the Anti-Masonic ticket, and again in 1840, on the Whig ticket. Their son, E. Carleton Sprague, was a prominent Buffalo attorney.
