Stephens Company.
The Stephens Company designed, delineated and sold off tracts of land in an area of Charlotte, N.C., that became known as Myers Park. The Stephens Company hired John Nolen to design the neighborhood. Rather than mark off the land in a grid-like checker board, Nolan designed streets that would travel around the natural contours of the land. Also, the land was sold off in large acre-sized lots so that residents would be able to built carriage houses and guest houses on their property. Myers Park became one of the most popular, fashionable and desireable neighborhoods in Charlotte.
