Variant namesEbenezer Henderson was born in Morgan County, Ind., and attended Indiana University. A Democrat, he held offices at the county, state, and national level, serving as state senator, 1869 and 1871; as state auditor, 1875-1879; and as deputy commissioner of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, 1887-1889.
