Clark talks about his experiences serving in World War II. He tells how he and some of his friends from the Forks of Elkhorn volunteered for service following the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Clark enlisted in Frankfort and was immediately shipped off to boot camp. Clark then discusses working the Aleutian island chain, out of Dutch Harbor (Alaska), escorting Russian ships. He talks about "Liberty ships," (built by the Kaiser Shipbuilding Company for the war), being assigned to the APA 194 USS Sandover which joined the Pacific fleet in the Philippines.
