The Iowa State University Men's Swimming and Diving program began in 1916 and was discontinued after the 2000-2001 season due to budget cuts within the Athletic Department. The program held swimming and diving competitions at the Beyer Hall Pool. Beyer Hall was the site of several Big 8 championship meets and two NCAA championship competitions. Head coaches have included Gilbert Linden, Jake Daubert, Charles McCaffree, Jack McGuire, Bob Groseth, Eddie Sinnot, and Trip Hedrick.
