Erwin Bodky was a keyboard performer and musciologist. He studied piano with Ferrucio Busoni and composition with Richard Strauss and performed widely on harpsichord and piano. He left Germany and lived in the Netherlands, 1933-38, and the United States from 1938 until his death in 1958. He was a professor of music at Brandeis University.
