Born in Atlantic City, N.J., Dr. Hodes made outstanding contributions in the area of Neurophysiology, Neuromuscular system in Man, studies on sleep, and on the brain while using depth electrodes. Fired from Tulane University, he connected with Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Peking, then to Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, as research assistant, 1959-60.
