Wesleyan College (Macon, Ga.). Board of Trustees.
The Georgia Female College opened in Macon, Georgia in 1839 as the first college chartered to grant degrees to women in the United States. In 1843, the name changed to Wesleyan Female College and by 1917 it became known as Wesleyan College.
