Hale, Eben Thomas, 1842-1868.
Eben Thomas Hale (1842-1868) was a federal soldier in the 45th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment who served in New Bern, N.C., and surrounding areas. Hale was the son of Ebenezer Hale of Newburyport, Mass., and prior to his enlistment was educated at Yale University.
