Vincent, Charles, 1945-
Charles Vincent was born in Hazlehurst, Miss., on October 19, 1945. He attended Utica Junior College, Jackson State University, and Louisiana State University. He has a Ph.D. in history and teaches at Southern University. Vincent has been a visiting professor at Louisiana State University and eminent scholar at Virginia State University (Petersburg). He is the author of "Black Legislators in Louisiana Reconstruction" and "A Centennial History of Southern and A&M College, 1880-1980."
