Catino, Jean Miles.

Jean Miles Catino was a resident of Walden and a native of the Walden's Ridge area. She studied art in Chicago and later taught weaving at the Frye Institute here. Mrs. Catino worked as a crafts instructor with a hospital in Memphis and painted landscapes for a series of waterfowl dioramas at the Museum of Science and Natural History in Miami, and murals at the Ocean Reef Club and at Watts Bar nuclear power plant. Locally she was known for her illustrated map of Signal Mountain which she did for the Walden's Ridge Women's Guild. Mrs. Catino, an area artist, died May 13, 2000.
