Whiteland Preparative Meeting (Society of Friends : Hicksite : 1827-1843)
An indulged meeting at Whiteland was established in 1816 by Goshen Monthly Meeting. The meeting for worship was established in 1818; a preparative meeting was established in 1822. After the Separation, there were two Whiteland Preparative Meetings. Whiteland Preparative Meeting (Orthodox) was discontinued after 1918. The Hicksite preparative meeting was discontinued in 1843, and its members were attached to Goshen Preparative Meeting. The meeting for worship was discontinued in 1847.
