Duluth Terminal Railway Company.
The company was incorporated in 1887 by Duluth businessmen interested in improving the city's freight transportation facilities. It built and operated about 2 miles of largely elevated trackage from the Northern Pacific bridge to the Duluth Union Depot. Effective control was transferred in 1890 to the Eastern Railway Company of Minnesota, which had financed the company's construction. In 1907 the property was all sold to GN and in 1930 it was formally dissolved.
