Kingsberry Family.

Through the late 1800s, the Kingsberry family resided in the Carollton, Georgia area. Sanford Kingsberry was a miller and a businessman involved in the selling of retail and wholesale goods. Edwin Kingsberry, Sanford's brother, was also involved in the wholesale and retail business. Sanford Kingsberry's son, Joseph Kingsberry, moved his business ventures from Carollton to the Atlanta area. He briefly pursued a career in politics, considering candidacy for Georgia State Treasurer. One of Joseph Kingsberry's daughter, Lula L. Kingsberry, was a teacher for the Atlanta Public School System. She later became principal of English Avenue School in Atlanta. In 1934, the Atlanta Public school System built the Lula L. Kingsberry School in her honor.
