Larned family.

The Larned family members, descended through various lines from William Learned ( -1646), represented in this collection are John Larned (1758-1844), a yeoman; Samuel Larned (1788-1846), a merchant and U.S. Consul at Cadiz; Ebenezer Learned (1797-1828) and Stephen Learned (1799-1827), brothers involved in the lumber business; and Elizabeth Rand Larned (1820-1880), a property owner. All the family members lived in Oxford, Massachusetts with the exception of Samuel Larned who resided in Providence, Rhode Island.
