Seidenberg, Roderick, 1889-1973
Variant namesCarl Zigrosser met Roderick Seidenberg when they were students at Columbia University. They formed a life-long friendship based on the compatability of their natures and their shared interests. Seidenberg was imprisoned during World War I as aconscientious objector. He went into practice as an architect and designer to support is interests in scientific and abstract thought, writing essays and fiction for small journals. Years of self-directed, independent study resulted in 2 books: Posthistoric Man (1950), and Anatomy of the Future (1961).
