Claude Livingston Kulp was a professor of education at Cornell University, and served as superintendent of Ithaca Public Schools, 1930-1951. He was associate commissioner of the State Department of Education briefly, and served in many other positions as an educational administrator. As an education professor at Cornell, he organized or participated in more than 40 state, county, and school educational surveys.
