Universal Brotherhood (W.A.)
In 1975 Fred and Mary Robinson, who had been experimenting with New Age alternative life styles for many years, established the Universal Brotherhood commune on a property near Balingup WA. Previously they had settled at Shalam, a five acre property at Armadale and, for a few years, at Carranya near Coorow. In 1994, the name changed to Brooklands Community Inc.
