Zelda Mackay (1893-1985), born Zelda Onita Powell, was a lifelong collector of photographs of California and the West, and of daguerreotypes, ambrotypes and tintypes from all locations. Her collection of cased photographs not acquired by The Bancroft Library were purchased by the George Eastman House of Rochester, N.Y.
