Variant namesDoctor and missionary; born, April 13, 1835; graduated from Western Reserve College, New Brunswick Theological Seminary, and Cleveland Medical College; went to India as a missionary under the Reformed Church of America Board of Foreign Missions and worked for the Arcot Misson (1860-1908) among the Telugu Hindus as a medical missionary, itinerant preacher, and also helped to translate the Bible into Telugu; died, 1908.
