Roger T. Wolfe was born in New Lexington, Ohio on December 25, 1915 and enlisted in the Army on March 10, 1943 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ohio. At the time of enlistment he had graduated from high school and was working as a sales clerk. Wolfe joined the 10th Mountain Division as a member of the 110th Mountain Signal Company. He served at Camp Swift, Tex.; Camp Carson, Colo. and in Italy, and received a Bronze Star Medal for his actions during the Apennines and Po River campaigns. Wolfe died on October 6, 1988 in Verona, N.J.
