Melville, James Scott.
Although earlier and later dates are suggested in a few entries, James Scott Meliville's diary seems primarily to record his emigration in 1833 from New York State, to Boston, and from there by sea to Quebec, on the Brig Mars out of Liverpool, under the command of Captain Watt.
From the description of Diary, ca. 1833. (Texas A&M University). WorldCat record id: 50098956
