Lincoln Historical Fund Campaign.
Committee formed by Governor Adlai Stevenson to raise funds for the purchase of the Oliver Barrett Lincoln Collection, the largest in the country, which was offered to the state in Barrett's will at a cost of $220,000. A train car containing much of the collection travelled around the state allowing people to see the historic items.
